Jade Bangle Size Guide — How to Measure for the Perfect Fit
Share
Why Sizing a Jade Bangle Is Different
A jade bangle is a solid, unbroken ring of stone. It doesn't open, it doesn't clasp, and it doesn't stretch. To wear one, it has to slide over your hand — which means the inside diameter of the bangle has to be wide enough to pass over your knuckles, not just fit your wrist.
This is the mistake most first-time buyers make: they measure their wrist and order based on that. The wrist is almost never the limiting factor. Your knuckles are.
How to Measure Your Hand — Step by Step
Step 1: Relax your hand completely. Hold it flat, fingers together, thumb tucked in toward your palm.
Step 2: Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your hand — across the knuckles, not the palm.
Step 3: Note the measurement in centimeters. This is your hand circumference.
Step 4: Divide by 3.14 (pi). This gives you the minimum inside diameter (ID) you need. Round up to the nearest millimeter.
Example: Hand circumference = 18cm ÷ 3.14 = 57.3mm → Order size 58mm
Jade Bangle Size Chart
| Hand Circumference | Min ID (mm) | Recommended Size |
|---|---|---|
| 16–17 cm | 51–54 mm | 54 mm |
| 17–18 cm | 54–57 mm | 57 mm |
| 18–19 cm | 57–60 mm | 59–60 mm |
| 19–20 cm | 60–64 mm | 62 mm |
| 20–21 cm | 64–67 mm | 65–66 mm |
What If I'm Between Sizes?
Always go up, not down. A bangle that's slightly loose is comfortable and wearable. A bangle that's too small will not slide over your hand at all — no matter how much you try. There's no stretching a jade bangle.
How We Show Bangles on Live
On every Facebook Live, we announce the inside diameter of each bangle before selling it. We hold it up next to a ruler so you can see the measurement clearly. If you're watching live and not sure if a piece will fit, message us in the comments with your hand measurement — we'll tell you on the spot.
